A Tranny in Quincy

I thought my business was finished in Quincy...but no...my transmission failed 10 miles east of Quincy, on the climb to Lee Pass. So I created a sign to help me get a ride, but my cardboard sign was not long enough to write "Transmission failed, need a ride to Quincy". So I simply wrote "Tranny Quincy" and stuck out my thumb. I got a few funny looks but didn't need to wait long before a nice gentleman stopped.

I was stuck in Quincy, the repair was going to take a week, and I had business to Watsonville to tend to. Everyone that crossed my path that day had something to offer me to get me where I needed to be. Friends, family and strangers showed up at the right time to help. I was humbled and grateful that day.
