Our mission is to promote health and well-being with healthy soil.

Our goal is to decentralized food production so that communities can grow their own food locally, from local resources and using local labor. Whether it is a backyard garden, or a community garden, or a commercial farmer selling in local markets; Groo Acres is committed to the success of local food producers.

Groo Acres works with local food producers to get the Soil Food Web healthy and thriving. We offer Soil testing of the soil microbiology and teach natural methods to amend the soil to create a balanced, healthy, thriving, Soil Food Web.  We only use natural ingredients, no artificial fertilizers or pesticides.

Our soil testing is done under a microscope. We look at the microorganisms and identify the various species of organisms. We will do a site assessment to understand the needs and/or goals of the property. Then we will create a compost recipe for amending the soil. We will apply this compost or compost tea and do regular soil testing to monitor the progress.
